CCMS Science Fair

Participating in the CCMS Science Fair is voluntary. In October, science teachers will hand out a packet of how to complete a science fair project to interested students.  Completing the science fair project is done at home with adult supervision. Students can ask teachers for help as needed, but the project will not be worked on in class. Students however will be using the scientific method in class through classroom experiments. Students that choose to participate in the CCMS Science Fair can earn up to 4 points on their quarter average.  In January, the science teachers will judge the submitted projects. The top scoring projects will go onto the State Science Fair held at CCRI. Those students that are invited to the fair will be required to
  • Compete additional paperwork for entry into the fair
  • Be present on Saturday, March 17th for judging and on Sunday, March 18th for public viewing of projects
  • Attend an awards ceremony on March 22nd  (optional)
Please direct your questions to either your child’s science teacher or Ms. Basel at jbasel@skschools.net
