Extra help/Homework Club: Mondays 2-3 PM
This site is NOT intended as a substitute for using the daily planner. You should be writing all assignments in your planner on a daily basis; if you have no homework due the next day, work on something due later. Break the procrastination habit and do better with less stress!
NOTES TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS:
- I wanted to give an update on our delayed start to Lit Circles, as mentioned at Open House. Unfortunately, the books are back-ordered; I am hoping to start at the end of the month. This means we will not complete a Lit Circle book for Q1, but instead, will have two for Q2. (our realistic fiction Judy Blume book and a mystery title) Again, if you are interested in reading the book your child selects, I will mail out an invitation so you know what to expect. Thanks in advance for your interest and support.
- We seem to be experiencing an abundance of absenteeism lately. If your child will be out for more than a day or two, please contact the main office for HW request. This will reduce the likelihood of your child getting behind. Also, remind your child that it is his/her responsibility to request missed work from the teacher.
- NECAPs begin this week! Please help your child do his/her best on these important assessments by promoting a good night's sleep (this is a healthy habit for every school night!), a healthy breakfast (and a snack may also be brought to school, though we will be providing snacks, too.), and offering encouragement.
- FIELD TRIP to RI Rock Gym on October 28. Cost is $20. Please return forms and payment ASAP. Do not forget to complete the waiver form as well as the usual field trip form.
