Health classes meet every other day for one semester for a total of 45 classes per year.
Students are graded on tests, homework, and projects and will receive a letter grade on their report card.

Supplies Needed for class for all grades are: A folder with 2 pockets inside. Place some lined paper (10 sheets) in one folder pocket for notetaking.
8th Grade ARTICLE SUMMARIES: students will complete a total of 6 article summaries. Students may read a "current events" news article from newspapers or magazines (and internet news sites only) on ANY health topic. Write a 10 sentence summary & answer the 3 questions on the handout. Hand in summary AND article. No summaries will be accepted without a copy of the article itself. Each summary is worth 50 pts towards a test grade. 5pts off for each class late, past due date.
Due Dates: Articles 1 & 2 by March 30
Articles 3 & 4 by April 30
Articles 5 & 6 by May 28
