Greetings CCMS Parents/Guardians,
Fundraising News
Thank you for all of the fundraising ideas generated from my last email. On Thursday January 19th the fundraising committee met to discuss them. Overall I think we have developed a great fundraising timeline for the rest of the school year. It provides you a variety of opportunities to raise money for the trip. Here is a summary of what was determined:
Note – Any money raised after your final DC trip payment has been made will be returned to you in the form of a school check. This check will be available prior to our departure. For those of you who still owe a balance, the money can be sent directly to WorldStrides to cover future payments.
(Feb-April)
CCMS Dinner Nights – Starting soon you will have the chance to eat out at a variety of local restaurants with a percentage of the profits going towards our school expense account. We are trying to set up a different dinner night location for February, March and April. This money will be used to pay for our tee shirts and other expenses. I am in the process of contacting local restaurants to determine who is interested in hosting a CCMS night. A list of CCMS nights will be made available to you in the near future. Please join us for one of the events. They are a great excuse to not cook.
(February)
Pasta Sale
The prices of the items are very reasonable and we generate a profit between 40-50% of the sales. The money raised from each seller will go towards reducing the price of the trip for that individual. The more you sell the more you save. I think you will find this fundraiser to be a unique one.
(March)
CCMS Dinner – Our Potato Dinner was a huge success. We plan on hosting another dinner event at CCMS. It will most likely be a pasta dinner or potluck meal.
(April)
CCMS Jog-a-thon
Our final fundraising event will be a jog-a-thon. Students will have the opportunity to collect pledges for the event.
If you have any questions about any of the events please let me know. More detailed information regarding each event will be coming home in the upcoming months. Thanks again for all of the parents who attended the last fundraising meeting and who have volunteered to help with some of the activities.
Go Patriots!
