Mission
The mission of Curtis Corner Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment that develops the whole child academically, socially, emotionally and physically. In partnership with families and the community, our goal is to enable children to be clear thinking communicators and enthusiastic life-long learners. CCMS will provide a challenging standards-based learning community with clear expectations and responsibilities that gives all students the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and character necessary to contribute in a meaningful way to society.

Grade 7 Summer Orientation
Dates: Tuesday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 24th
Time: 9:30--11:00
Students are invited to attend either session. There is no need to pre-register. Parents are asked to drop students off by 9:30 and pick them up at 11.
ATHLETICS
Girl's Soccer Tryouts - August 30- September 2 ~ 2:00-4:30 pm at Tuckertown
Boy's Soccer Tryouts - September 1-3 ~ 5:00-7:00 pm at Tuckertown
Boy's and Girl's Cross Country - Meeting on September 7th after school until 3:00 pm rides home must be provided
Practice will begin on Friday September 10th after school until 3:15 pm. No Late Bus, rides must be provided
Reminder that all Interscholastic Athletic Packets must be completed and turned at South Kingstown High School on:

We are pleased to report the following 09-10 NECAP results for CCMS:
Reading
Grade 7--87% proficiency
Grade 8--89% proficiency
Math
Grade 7--82% proficiency
Grade 8--81% proficiency
Proficiency=percentage of students scoring a 3 or 4.
No scores were reported for Gr. 8 writing as the state piloted a new writing test.
A few reminders:
Our school day is 7:35—1:47. We cannot allow students to enter the building until 7:10.
